Meet Nostrana: Johanna Ware, Sous Chef

After growing up outside Chicago, Sous Chef Johanna Ware moved to Oregon to attend the University of Oregon where she graduated in 2002 with a degree in English and creative writing. She cooked her way through college, moved to NY in 2003 and worked her way up at Public Restaurant to sous chef. After a brief stint at Del Posto she joined the Momofuku team in 2006. She was hired as sous chef at Momofuku Ssam Bar, then joined Momofuku Noodle Bar. In 2009 she returned to Portland and was hired as sous chef at Nostrana.
