Meet Nostrana: Douglas Derrick, Bar Manager

Nostrana’s bar manager, Douglas Derrick has a degree in hotel and restaurant management from Northern Arizona University. He studied hospitality and cultural differences in the workplace in the international business program at Hanze University of Groningen, Holland, and completed a fishing internship at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge in Talkeetna, Alaska.

We have been fortunate to have Doug leading our Rooster Bar since mid-2009, where he can be found pouring his expertly crafted cocktails, describing the nuances of Italian craft beer or recommending appropriate wine from our extensive list.

Away from Nostrana his passions are studying the West Coast brewing scene, tasting at northwest distillers and enjoying Oregon’s beautiful outdoors casting flies to steelhead and trout.
